" Retreating "
by Suzán Jiván Mom & Mom-Mom Suzán
Retreating into spread sheets splotches spots
modern tactility vitriolic constants
symbolically getting pelted by rocks
via unchecked fact feeds conjuring
beleaguered spirits seen popping
bottles of bubbly experiencing breaches
in intimacy seeking places of community
for climate change refugees
engaging in timeworn fantasies
fractured smoked glass smashed stoneware
on the rocks moving non-targets
as sentinels of horror
"Someone's been eating my porridge!"
tobacco blonds masked by fog
ill-starred carnal cha-cha-chas
like dishonorable arbiters
of moonlit withered tinsels
sand spills spit iridescences...
