Pain-staking recovery
fresh out of security
beginning to recede
then dropping torrentially
onto tree-lined streets
like uncommon experiences
as gifts of possibility
driven by storm-shifting winds
while clinging to the margins
of brinkmanship loosening grips
unsolicited drifting
transcending subdivisions
blue-lipped novelists
gone out of print
with bookshelf fixtures
and party-platter tidbits
becoming menaced
by 100 year floods
across unofficial cultures
resurfacing adults
over months and months
hating to push buttons
not exactly subtle
crushing skulls eyes sewn shut
no matter what getting busted
shrouded in secrecy
different from everything
airing weekly churning worlds
misinterpreted auteur driven
and ambitious dammits
seen as rifts ever since
becoming pretty grim
quick start shoveling
out of touch
so called sprawling
global audiences
equally poignant
too small
unyieldingly formal
debut stories
dirty wars
all according
to enormous fiords
no longer
keeping plenty busy
living amid pillows
ever since
upon going to auction
as silver ice buckets
filled up by the humbled
not giving up
swooshes and drips
seeking forgivenesses in acrylics
horizontally slit toothless grins...
